Position Summary
51短视频, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the USA South Athletic Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Women’s Tennis Coach in all aspects of the tennis program while helping provide a positive, competitive, and student-centered experience for 51短视频 student-athletes.
The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching the game of tennis, mentoring student-athletes, and contributing to a culture of academic and athletic excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
路聽 Assist in planning and conducting practices, workouts, and individual skill-development sessions.
路聽 Provide instruction and coaching during practices and competitions.
路聽 Assist with match preparation, scouting reports, lineup management, and opponent analysis.
路聽 Help recruit and retain qualified student-athletes who align with 51短视频’s academic and athletic mission.
路聽 Mentor student-athletes and support their personal, academic, and athletic development.
路聽 Promote a positive team culture focused on sportsmanship, accountability, leadership, and teamwork.
路聽 Assist with equipment management, facility preparation, and match-day operations.
路聽 Support team fundraising efforts, community engagement activities, and departmental events.
路聽 Maintain compliance with NCAA Division III, USA South Conference, and 51短视频 rules and regulations.
路聽 Assist with travel planning and team logistics.
路聽 Drive a college-owned 15-passenger van to transport student-athletes to competitions, recruiting events, and other team-related activities as assigned.
路聽 Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Tennis Coach and Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
路聽HS Diploma required (bachelor鈥檚 degree Preferred)
路聽Previous playing and/or coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred
路聽Strong knowledge of fundamentals, strategies, and player development
路聽Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
路聽Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
路聽Commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion

Physical Functions
While performing the responsibilities of the聽Assistant Women鈥檚 Tennis Coach聽the employee is required to sit for varying lengths of time; bend, reach, lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds; occasionally stand, walk, and kneel and regularly ascend/descend stairs; use hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard; perform extended periods of work at a computer workstation, view a computer monitor; perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and receive detailed information through oral communication; express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word; and work in an office setting.
